The Gaver Farm Fall Fest Brings Corn Mazes, Hayrides and Fall Fun — Oh My!

Families pick pumpkins, pet barn animals and race down giant slides in Mt. Airy, Md.

At Gaver Farms Fall Fun Fest, pedal karts, pumpkin picks and a seven‑acre corn maze turn seasonal tradition into a multigenerational community celebration.
What began as a small, local event has expanded into a weeks‑long festival with more than 15 attractions. The farm continues to be owned, run and operated by the Gaver family, which started the festival in 2010.
“We have a missing child at the ticketing counter,” owner Lisa Gaver announced over the intercom.
Gaver hustled across the grounds to help staff and guests — a hands‑on moment that underlined the farm’s focus on visitor safety.
“I used to live on the farm with my children, but I host my event here for my clients. I come every year,” said Chrystal Miller,
Chrystal Miller hosted a small realtor event during the festival for potential clients.
The festival draws in longtime neighbors who remember the farm’s early days and newcomers who found the fest on social media, all enjoying rides, animals, pumpkins and plenty of photo moments.
“We moved to the farm in 2019. It was really nice for my kids in the fall and Christmas tree season. It started small, then the events started to get bigger,” Valerie Miller, Chrystal Millers daughter, said.
The animal‑feeding area was crowded, with goats sporting full bellies from being fed all day. Kids ran with excitement, hopping on a blowup trampoline and singing along with Zack, an animated robotic car. The giant slide stayed busy, with both children and adults taking turns. Families screamed and laughed as they pedaled the Country Cruiser pedal bikes.
“My favorite part was riding the bikes,” 3‑year‑old Lulu Simon said.
Activities were accompanied by food trucks and on‑site stands. Guests lined up for the staff-recommended frozen cider shakefrozen cider shake topped with an apple‑cider donut. The menu included fried options such as chicken tenders and french fries and also offered grilled pizza.
As guests exited the farm, they could shop for last‑minute treats and souvenirs at the farm market and bakery.
Gaver Farms runs timed tickets and limits daily capacity on peak days; a season‑pass option is listed on the event page. The festival runs Aug. 29‑Nov. 2, 2025. After the close of the Fall Fun Fest, the farm will continue winter activities beginning Nov. 21, 2025; the pumpkin patch will remain open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
